Graphic Era Deemed to be University is the result of the hard work of its visionary founder, Prof. (Dr.) Kamal Ghanshala, who aspired to transform the lives of thousands through quality education. In 1993, he embarked on this mission in the Doon Valley with determination and limited resources. His vision took shape in 1996 with the establishment of Graphic Era Institute of Technology (GEIT). In 2008, it attained Deemed University status under Section 3 of the UGC Act, approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Today, Graphic Era Deemed to be University stands tall as a NAAC ‘A+’ accredited institution with seven NBA-accredited programs. It ranks among India’s Top 100 Universities per the NIRF, securing All India Rank 52 in Engineering, 59 in Management, and 52 in the University Category. The university emphasizes industry-academia partnerships, collaborating with Tata Technologies and IBM. It also hosts a Technology Business Incubator that nurtures start-ups and entrepreneurship. With global student exchange and knowledge-sharing programs, Graphic Era has gained international recognition for academic excellence. Its alumni excel worldwide in leading organizations like Apple, Google, Microsoft, and HSBC, as well as in national service across all wings of the Armed Forces.
